I see therapy as a deep exploration into the many parts of ourselves, both the seen and unseen, the past and the present. As someone who has benefited from connecting to my own Irish, Polish, and Russian ancestry, I have found meaning in exploring the threads of the past, including the histories of colonization and oppression that have shaped my ancestral lands, and that continue to echo in this country and throughout the world. My lineage carries both Jewish and Catholic roots, which I honor as part of my family story, where I have found a deep well of generational hurt and sadness related to my family's relationship to each religion.
I am drawn to supporting others in exploring their roots and reconnecting with the stories, rituals, and creative impulses that live within them. This might mean tending to ancestral grief, discovering new forms of ritual, or finding creative expression for what has long been held silently. As Jung wrote, “No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell.” Together, we can hold a light to the shadows, tracing your story with compassion and reverence for the wisdom and creativity that live in your body and lineage.
I also bring to this work my lived experience of growing up in a society that prizes productivity over presence. Like many, I have known addiction, anxiety, perfectionism, and an overactive inner critic. I practice giving myself permission to rest, to create, to feel joy, and to savor moments of pleasure in a culture that often equates worth with output. To me, reconnecting to our creative flow and remembering how to rest are radical acts of healing; small rebellions of the heart that help us return to our aliveness. My hope is that in our work together, you find space to breathe more fully into your life, rediscover your creative rhythms, and remember the truth of who you are.
In this space, I welcome your creative spirit, the part of you that imagines, feels, and expresses its authenticity in all its colors, as a vital part of your healing. Finding our authenticity is not always easy, and I believe therapy works because of how hard that can be, and how healing it is to not ask ourselves to do it alone. Whether it’s your pain, your joy, or anything in between that wants to be felt and seen, I will be in it with you. My deepest intention in this work is to co-create a space with you where you feel safe to take off any masks you wear out in the world and are able to truly be yourself.
